Amato, Derrick NewDerrick Amato, Chief Executive Officer, Connecticut Occupational Medicine Partners,

Mr. Amato recently joined Connecticut Occupational Medicine Partners, LLC. He will serve in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, Mr. Amato will serve as the Administrative Director for St. Francis Hospital, Department of Occupational Health and as CEO of Medworks, LLC. Mr. Amato previously served as Vice President Workers’ Compensation Sales and Strategy at MultiPlan in Waltham,MA. He also served as National Director – Medical Center of Excellence at the Accident Fund of America; Chief Operations Officer of Clinical Management Services at Coventry Workers Comp Services; President, Care Management Services, Concentra Integrated Services; and Senior Vice President, Field Claim Services, Cambridge Integrated Services Group.

Mr. Amato is an associate member of the Eastern Association of Workers’ Compensation Board of Commissioners; a member of the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the Self-Insurance Institute of America; and a  member of the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the Claims & Litigation Alliance.

Jeff Schlosser, VP Connecticut Occupational Medicine Partners, LLC.

Mr. Schlosser serves as the Vice President of Occupational Medicine Partners, LLC.  He has over 20 years of healthcare management experience, most recently spending four years as an Operations Director at Concentra, where he had operational leadership responsibilities for three occupational and urgent care clinics.  Previously, Mr. Schlosser was the Connecticut Area Manager for Fresenius Medical Care, where he managed all aspects of seven outpatient dialysis centers in Northern Connecticut.

Mr. Schlosser holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering, both from Western New England College in Springfield, MA.




kellyChristine Ouellette, Collections Manager

Ms. Ouellette received her Certification in Medical Assisting from Morse School Of Business. She has been with St. Francis Hospital since 2007. Ms. Ouellette is responsible for developing a networking relationship with workers’ compensation carriers, managed care organizations and employers to facilitate timely payment of Occupational Medicine clinic charges. She manages and works in conjunction with a Collection Specialist team to insure accuracy and timeliness of payments. Ms. Ouellette is responsible for the Windsor office of St. Francis Occupational Health and Medworks in Newington. Ms. Ouellette has over 21 years of collections experience.




Kelly Shepard, Billing & Collections Specialist

Ms. Shepard has been with St. Francis since 2011 and joined COMP, LLC in 2013.  She has been involved in health claims and medical billing since 2002.  She is responsible for both our Torrington and South Windsor locations.





C. Melissa Gilkes, Billing & Collection Specialist

Melissa joined COMP in August of 2015. She holds a degree in Business Management. She has over 10 years of billing experience in the insurance industry, most recently in Disability Insurance. Melissa is responsible for the Windsor office of St. Francis Occupational Medicine.

Carol joined COMP, LLC in 2015.  She has worked in the medical field for over 20 years holding positions both in billing and as a Nursing Assistant.  Carol is responsible for both our Bristol & Hartford locations.
